WILDLIFE-HUMAN INTERACTION STUDIES, ECOLOGICAL RESEARCH AND BIODIVERSITY CONSERVATION LABORATORY
Negative interactions between wildlife and humans are critical environmental problems that do not only affect conservation efforts for wildlife in conflict but also affect humans physically, emotionally, and economically. With the growing human population, coupled with habitat disturbances and the increasing demand for space and resources, the proximity between humans and wildlife also increases possibly resulting in conflict and zoonosis. These events could eventually draw a negative perception of the human community towards wildlife and their habitat, thus affecting policies concerning conservation and conflict mitigation initiatives.
